An organized crime group for racketeering and drug trafficking was detained in a special operation in the Burgas region, the prosecution announced. The action was organized and conducted jointly by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office and the DGCOC.

A group distributing drugs on the territory of Pleven and Lovech was busted and six people were arrested in a special operation of the Interior Ministry and the Chief Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, conducted under the direction of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday.

Today the prosecutor's office will give details of the detention of the mayor of the Sofia district Mladost, Desislava Ivancheva and her deputy Biliana Petrova.

The GDBOP neutralizes an organized criminal group for human trafficking across the border, the press center of the Ministry of Interior announced. 18 criminals have been detained, 7 of them have been charged. They are Bulgarian, Turkish and Syrian citizens.
 
Five perpetrators have been subjected to a permanent detention order, and to two others a "precautionary measure".

A group for the illegal distribution of television programs on the Internet, which is headed by Greek citizens on the territory of Bulgaria, is broken.

A large-scale operation is under way on the territory of Bulgaria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, to neutralize an organized criminal group operating on the territory of the five countries and illegally transfer foreign nationals from the countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan to European Union countries, reported Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office .

The specialized appellate criminal court ruled that the 2 police officers from 7th police station in Sofia will remain in custody. Alexander Stanev and Edzhevit Osman are accused of protecting the criminal operations of a drug distribution gang and of taking bribes.

Two successful joint operations of the specialized prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Interior against drug distribution and human trafficking were carried out in several cities in Bulgaria on 17th of October, аccording to the Bulgarian National Television. 

The specialized prosecutor's office has accused two police officers from the 7th Police Station in Sofia of distributing drugs and taking bribes. They were detained on 15th of October 2017 in a specialized operation of the Internal Security Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office.

A group of eight Bulgarian detainees boarded a charter flight to Spain at Sofia Airport, yesterday. Their extradition had been requested by the Spanish authorities with an international arrest warrant, according to Standard News.
