Sri Lankan police fire tear gas to hold back thousands of demonstrators mobbing the premier's office in Colombo on Wednesday, AFP reporters at the scene saw.

Sri Lankan police and media reported a series of explosions in the Colombo capital city and elsewhere in the island state.
There were explosions in at least three churches and three hotels, police say.
FT reporter’s body found in Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan police Friday found the body of a 24-year-old British journalist, Paul McClean, who is suspected to have been killed by a crocodile.
Divers found McClean’s corpse in the mud of a lagoon in the coastal village of Panama, 360 kilometres east of the capital Colombo by road, a police spokesman said.
