Dimitar Georgiev is the new chief of Bulgaria's domestic security agency DANS.
President Rosen Plevneliev has issued a decree for the appointment of Georgiev as Chairman of the State Agency for National Security known by its Bulgarian acronym DANS, according to a press release issued by the president's press office on Friday.
Cabinet Approves Head of State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad
The Bulgarian government approved Boris Vangelov as chairperson of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad.
This emerged after the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, the government's press service reports.
Vangelov holds Master's degrees in History and Geography and Law from the Veliko Tarnovo University St. Cyril and St. Methodius.
