All favorites have reached the quarterfinals of the Greek Cup, after this week's return legs of Round 1 of the tournament, that has been shortened for this season.

The 2021 Cup only involves the 14 Super League teams, with the first round concerning 12 teams, as Lamia and Panathinaikos have pulled the lucky straws.

Olympiakos stretched its lead at the top of the Super League table to 14 points on Sunday after its road win over Apollon and Aris' reverse at Asteras Tripolis. AEK has climbed back up to second.

The Reds defeated Apollon Smyrnis 3-1 through an Ahmed Hassan brace and a Yann M'Vila goal. Apollon had pulled one back via Abiola Dauda.

Olympiakos is running away with the title in the Super League after thumping 2019 champion PAOK 3-0 on Wednesday, while AEK suffered a shock at home to PAS Giannina.

Olympiakos is now 11 points clear at the top of the Super League table, after narrowly beating Atromitos away while challengers PAOK and AEK canceled each other out.

A Bruma goal sufficed for Olympiakos to win 1-0 at Atromitos on Sunday and climb to 48 points from 18 matches. The Reds are also reportedly close to signing Arsenal central defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Olympiakos and AEK were the clear winners of the midweek Super League fixtures, as the Reds preserved their unbeaten record and extended their lead to nine points at the top, while the Yellows have suddenly climbed to the second spot.

Olympiakos keeps extending its lead at the top of the Super League, after winning at Panetolikos too on Saturday, as Aris dropped two points at Ioannina on Monday.
