Supreme Court allows Elena Udrea out of house arrest to attend lawmakers' meeting on her case
The High Court of Cassation and Justice admitted on Saturday Elena Udrea's request to attend on Monday the Chamber of Deputies' sitting that will debate and vote on two requests to prosecute and remand her on new counts in the Bute Boxing Gala case.

PM Ponta to be subpoenaed in Referendum case (sources)
Judiciary sources told AGERPRES Prime Minister Victor Ponta will be subpoenaed by the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) to testify in the Referendum case, where Vice Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea is indicted.

Bulgarian Prosecution Drops Toughest Charges against Dogan Attacker
The state prosecution has dropped charges of attempted murder against the man who attacked the DPS party's honorary chair Ahmed Dogan in 2013.
Oktay Enimehdemov was sentenced in February to three-and-a-half years of imprisonment after found guilty of death threat, but was acquitted of attempted murder. The Sofia Appellate Court in October upheld the sentence.
Albania High Court Battling Backlog of Cases
Zaganjori told reporters that during 2014, the Supreme Court had managed to hear all the cases registered between 2007 and 2011.
"The civil-administrative panel is now reviewing cases registered in 2012 and the criminal panel, those registered in 2013," he explained.

Judicial Watchdog to Vote on New Sofia City Court Chair Next Week
Bulgaria's Supreme Judicial Council (VSS) is to determine on Thursday next week who will take over as interim head of the Sofia City Court, Yasen Todorov, from the Ethics Committee at the VSS, has said.
Todorov's interview with public broadcaster BNT followed a VSS step to remove the court's chairperson Vladimira Yaneva from office.
