Meet Usko, the bear on wheels

Usko arrived at Arcturos in July 2015. He was only 3 months old. He had been discovered by members of an environmental organization based in Skopje, in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), suffering from severe spinal injuries. He couldn't stand up and was clearly in a lot of pain.

The arrival of hundreds of supporters of the so-called No Border Camp pro-refugee movement at Thessaloniki's Aristotle University is not an issue merely for Greece's academic community. The fact that an unauthorized event is being held on university property should in fact be an issue for all of us, as a society and a country.

Gov't 'will not be terrorized' minister says after firebomb attack

Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos on Wednesday condemned a firebomb attack by unidentified assailants on his former office at Thessaloniki's Aristotle University, which caused damage but no injuries.

"The government will not be terrorized," Paraskevopoulos, who is a professor of law, said in a statement.
