Delivery time of 2nd S-400 system extended due to negotiations: Official

Turkey and Russia had agreed on the procurement of two batches of Russian-made S-400 air defense systems as part of a deal, but talks on technology transfer extended the delivery time for the second system, Defense Industries Presidency (SSB) head İsmail Demir told state-run broadcaster TRT on April 26.

Turkey, Egypt in diplomatic-level contacts: FM Çavuşoğlu

Turkey and Egypt have started diplomatic-level contacts after years-long hiatus with disruption of relations in 2013, according to the Turkish foreign minister.

"We have contacts both at the level of intelligence and foreign ministries with Egypt. Diplomatic-level contacts have started," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in an exclusive interview with Anadolu Agency and TRT.

Erdogan claims 'agreements' with Trump on Libya

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Monday that he has reached agreements with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump that could herald a "new era" concerning Libya.

Erdogan made the comment in a television interview following a telephone call with the U.S. president, but did not elaborate on the agreements reached. 

Turkey seeking to end 2020 with growth: Finance minister

Turkey is seeking to end 2020 with a positive economic growth rate despite negative forecasts due to the coronavirus crisis, the country's treasury and finance minister said on May 27. 

Turkey will be one of the least affected countries by the coronavirus outbreak in employment and growth, Berat Albayrak told national broadcaster TRT.
