Suspicious package left in front of Türkevi Center in ??New York
Police have closed the street in front of the Türkevi Center in Manhattan to all traffic after a suspicious package was discovered in front of the building on Oct. 22.
Bomb disposal teams were sent to the scene along First Avenue between 45th and 46th streets. The package with red roses was found in front of the Türkevi Center building.

Istanbul Photo Awards exhibition in New York

Turkey is taking a leading role in the fight against Islamophobia on international platforms, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Sept. 19.
"We are fighting against a more deadly and sneaky virus. This virus, which is as dangerous as the coronavirus, is called Islamophobia," Erdoğan said at a gathering organized by the Turkish American National Steering Committee in New York City.
President Erdoğan due in New York for UN General Assembly
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to pay a four-day visit to the U.S. to attend the 76th session of the U.N. General Assembly, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
At the U.N. headquarters in New York, the president will address the General Assembly, which begins Sept. 14. Erdoğan is also set to inaugurate the 36-story Turkevi Center in Manhattan.
