Turkish intelligence says key Gülenist suspect Adil Öksüz was not agent 

Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has said that Adil Öksüz, a key coup figure whose whereabouts have been unknown since July 2016, did not serve for the spy agency and was not recruited as an informant, in response to claims made by main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. 

Russian envoy's assassin related to 'FETÖ': President Erdoğan

The assassin of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov was related to a movement led by U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan claimed late on Dec. 21.
 
"Where he grew up and all connections reveal connections to FETÖ [the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization] membership."  
   

Intel officer linked to Kurdish women's murder in Paris probed over 'parallel-links'

Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation against a member of Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (M?T), Haluk Özcan, for links to the "parallel structure" - a group of Fethullah Gülen sympathizers accused of trying to overthrow the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) government, the former's ally-turned-foe.

Dark, darker, darkest

In less than a week's time, Turkey has witnessed three major, worrying events, one after another. On Nov. 24, we learned that Turkey downed a Russian jet on the Syrian border. It was a dark day, since we did not know if we were on the verge of a war while wondering how it all happened.
