Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on Jan. 16 discussed regional issues over the phone.

Erdoğan said Azerbaijan's victory in Upper Karabakh has brought new opportunities for peace and stability in the region, the Turkish Directorate of Communications said in a statement.

The Turkish president on Dec. 29 extended his condolences to his Croatian counterpart over a magnitude 6.3 earthquake.

According to a statement from the Turkish Directorate of Communications, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Zoran Milanovic.

Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to provide search and rescue teams and all the help that may be needed.

The presidents of Turkey and the U.S. agreed that the fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak could only be won through global solidarity and cooperation, according to an official statement on March 31.
