A total of four PKK terrorists have been neutralized in the region of Operation Claw-Lock, the Turkish Defense Ministry has announced.

"Wherever there are terrorists, the target is there," the ministry said in a tweet on Aug. 19.

A total of 22 PKK terrorists have been neutralized in the Syrian border region, the Turkish Defense Ministry has announced.

Following a mortar attack on the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa's borderline, which killed two Turkish soldiers, Turkish forces launched an operation in the region.

The ministry said that five PKK terrorists were neutralized by the Turkish army in the regions of Claw-Lock and Claw-Tiger operations in northern Iraq.

Around 10,000 FETÖ members are living in Greece, a senior Foreign Ministry official told the daily Milliyet, hinting that the relations reached a point where it would "explode with a little spark."

Two terrorists, one of them Yusif Mehmud Rebani, who is code-named Rezan Cavit and the local leader of the Amuda and al-Darbasiyah regions, east of the Euphrates, have been neutralized by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

The MİT carried out the operation in line with the information obtained from the field agents after establishing a special team.

In a statement published on Aug. 10, the ministry highlighted that the PKK terrorists were in preparation for an attack.

"We will be responding to the terrorists strongly," the ministry said without giving any further details.

Türkiye has "neutralized" nearly 2,000 terrorists in cross-border terror operations in 2022, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on July 9.
