Sunken cargo ship in Marmara Sea located

Teams on Feb. 16 identified the location of the wreckage of the "Batuhan A" cargo ship that sank in the Marmara Sea as the extensive search continues for the six missing crew members.

The vessel carrying marble powder from Marmara Island in Balıkesir to Bursa in northwest Türkiye on Feb. 15 took on water and sank off Imralı island, south of Istanbul after getting caught in a storm.

Turkish Navy welcomes four new platforms

The Turkish Navy has officially welcomed four new additions to its fleet in a ceremony held in the northwestern province of Yalova.

The ceremony, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, celebrated the delivery of the new naval platforms. Among the notable additions is the TCG Derya, now the largest warship in the fleet after the TCG Anadolu.

Turkish aircraft enter Greek airspace

Two Turkish Navy aircraft (a CN-235 and an ATR-72) as well as a Turkish helicopter entered the Athens flight information region on Monday without submitting a flight plan.

In fact, three violations of air traffic rules were recorded in the Athens FIR in the southeastern Aegean Sea. 

The Turkish aircraft were identified, in accordance with international rules.

100 warships conduct historic parade on Türkiye’s centenary

Some 100 warships have sailed and carried out an unprecedented procession on Istanbul's Bosphorus in the Turkish Navy's largest parade to mark the 100th anniversary of the foundation of modern Türkiye on Oct. 29.

Scores of Istanbulities flocked to the coastlines or the hills of the city, where they were able to witness the historic navy procession.
