Explosions rock central Kiev in apparent missile strikes

Multiple explosions rocked Kiev early on Oct. 10 following months of relative calm in the Ukrainian capital.

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported explosions in the city's Shevchenko district, a large area in the center of Kiev that includes the historic old town as well as several government offices.

Ukraine plans to ban many books in Russian as part of a wartime battle against propaganda, but the new law has divided both literature fans and booksellers alike.

Britain says Russia seeking to replace Ukraine government

The British government on Saturday accused Russia of seeking to replace Ukraine's government with a pro-Moscow administration, and said former Ukrainian lawmaker Yevheniy Murayev is being considered as a potential candidate.

Murayev is head of the small pro-Russian party Nashi, which currently has no seats in Ukraine's parliament.

Ankara ready to host Ukraine reform conference: FM Çavuşoğlu

Ankara is ready to host a future conference to show support for Ukraine's reform efforts, Turkey's foreign minister said on July 7.

Speaking at the Fourth Ukraine Reform Conference in Lithuania's capital Vilnius, Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu voiced Turkey's support and solidarity with Ukraine "on its path of reforms."
