Crete court confirms Norwegian’s conviction for murder of wife

An appeals court in Crete has confirmed the conviction of a Norwegian man for the murder of his wife in January 2021.

The man, now aged 50, will continue to serve his life sentence for the murder, which the court unanimously ruled was premeditated and committed in a clear state of mind.

Bulgaria: 28-year-old Abuser Beat his Girlfriend to Death in Omurtag

A 28-year-old man beat his girlfriend to death in Omurtag, with whom he lived on a family basis.

The crime was committed in the conditions of domestic violence in a particularly painful way for the victim and with particular cruelty, announced the prosecutor's office in Targovishte.

The case is from yesterday, and the victim is a 21-year-old woman.

Scuffles break out outside Athens court as arrested Croatian soccer fans testify over deadly attack

Clashes broke out in front of court buildings in Athens where scores of arrested Croatian soccer supporters were giving evidence Friday following deadly fan violence this week.

Some 200 fans of AEK Athens gathered outside the court complex, some hurling bottles of water and other objects at police and television crews.

No arrests or injuries were reported.

The vast majority of those detained were Croatian nationals.
