UN General Assembly

In a video address to the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said that Bulgaria will continue to work for efficient United Nations, adequately prepared to respond to the needs of humanity in the 21st century.

President Klaus Iohannis met on Wednesday with the CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), David Harris, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, on which occasion the former underlined Romania's concern about the rising anti-Semitic rhetoric in the context of the health crisis, especially in the online environment, informs the Presidential Administration.

The ministry assessed that the actions of the interim institutions in Pristina were provocations aimed at expelling Serbs from the autonomous province.

New York, 22 September – President Borut Pahor, who is in New York for the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, held several bilateral meetings on Tuesday, including with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss cooperation, Afghanistan and migrations. He also attended an event marking 30 years of Slovenia’s independence.

Amidst renewed provocations against Greece and Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean and after an informal moratorium in summer, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his address to the 76th UN General Assembly (UNGA) yesterday presented his government's steadfast views on the geopolitics of the region and Ankara's claims.

Bulgaria will continue to work for an effective UN, prepared to meet the needs of humanity in the 21st century, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said in a video address to the participants in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, which is held in New York.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, will host in New York the 10th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. According to the MAE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the conference will take place in a hybrid system, and the head of Romanian diplomacy will be joined in New York by Thomas E.

New York – Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar urged his EU peers to stick with the agreement the ministers reached an an informal meeting in Slovenia in September regarding Afghanistan, as EU foreign ministers held a meeting on the margins of the UN General Assembly on Monday.

He stated that this is shown by the unilateral decisions of Washington to withdraw from Afghanistan and the U.S. security pact with Australia and Great Britain.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his stay in New York, Selakovi will have numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings with the heads of diplomacy and other officials of the UN member states.
Selakovic will also take part in the accompanying events that will be organized during the general debate of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
