UN agencies have secured an additional USD 8.5 million to strengthen the capacities of the Serbian government and provide basic services to refugees.

UN agencies have secured an additional USD 8.5 million to strengthen the capacities of the Serbian government and provide basic services to refugees aside from the USD 2.8 million already secured, the UN Office in Serbia said on Monday.

BELGRADE - A Serbian delegation will take part in the third global UN conference aimed at reducing the risk of catastrophes which will be held in Japan from March 14 to 18, the UN Office in Serbia released.

BELGRADE - Serbia is to receive USD 1.8 million worth of financial assistance from the UN in the coming days, the UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Irena Vojackova-Solorano said on Tuesday, noting that the money has been obtained from the Central Emergency Response Fund and that it is just the first part of the assistance.
