They will do so after the US vetoed a previous such resolution proposal.
The UN Security Council has postponed a vote on a draft resolution calling for a "sustainable ceasefire" in the Gaza Strip to allow more time to respond to objections from the United States, the Guardian reports.

The vote comes days after the United States of America (US) blocked a previous Security Council resolution that would have called for a "humanitarian ceasefire" in the stricken Palestinian territory.

Hamas and the Palestinian Authority swiftly condemned the US veto as the Hamas-run health ministry put the latest death toll in Gaza at 17,487 people, mostly women and children.

Lavrov: Serbia was robbed of Kosovo

North Korea defends satellite launch at UN
North Korea's ambassador made a rare appearance at the UN Security Council on Monday to defend his country's launch of a spy satellite, as leader Kim Jong Un studied images including of the White House and Pentagon.
Western powers, Japan and South Korea have said North Korea violated Security Council resolutions by launching the satellite last week.
