I get my best ideas while washing dishes, Turkey's chief presidential adviser says at women's event

One of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's chief presidential advisers has said the best ideas come to her mind when she is washing dishes. 

Speaking at the National Women Entrepreneurship Congress in the eastern province of Bingöl, Özlem Zengin said the "best ideas always come to mind at the hardest times."

Businesses group head claims that Turkish lawmakers, governors have 'low salaries'

The salaries of lawmakers and governors are very low and "people are wrong to think they earn a lot of money," Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) head Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has claimed. 

"You need to appreciate a job done properly," Hisarcıklıoğlu said at an economic summit in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on Aug. 10. 

Turkish firms win four contracts in CERN

Turkish companies won four of 89 tenders, which were opened by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, in the first six months of the year, a leading business organization has announced.

According to a statement by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the total value of these four contracts was over 300,000 euros.
