Turkey summit could turn G-20 into a political player
The Antalya Summit is likely to be the first G-20 Summit during which a major political crisis is debated. Since 1999 when the G-20 was first established, its annual summits have generally focused on seeking solutions to global economic problems by bringing together the most influential industrialized and developing economies.
Syria diplomacy gains momentum after Vienna talks
Amid news reports that the international coalition is preparing to launch an intensified aerial campaign on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant's (ISIL) positions in Jarablus and Raqqa in Syria after this weekend's G-20 Summit, speculation about a potential ground operation into Syria by the Turkish military seemingly returned over the last week.

UN warns of Lesbos chaos as Mediterranean migrant crossings pass 800,000
More than 800,000 migrants and refugees have crossed the Mediterranean to Europe this year, the UN said Nov. 13, warning the Greek island of Lesbos especially was overstretched, with thousands, including young children, forced to sleep outside.
Zorlu Center hosting Istanbul Light Fest
Turkey's first light festival, which started on Nov. 13 at Istanbul's Zorlu Center, will continue through Nov. 29.
More than 20 world-renowned light artists will be contributing to the festival curated by Rebecca Mendez, the head of the Media Art Department at the Los Angeles-based university, UCLA.
