National Defence Minister Nicolae Ciuca has stated that the mission of the National Defence Ministry (MApN) specialist team leaving for the U.S. the state of Alabama, in order to provide support to local authorities in the fight against COVID-19 proves that, when needed, Romania and the U.S. are able to support each other.

The US has deployed the anti-ballistic missile THAAD system at the military base of Deveselu in southern Romania.

The cooperation between the Serbian Army (VS) and the US Armed Forces "occupies a significant place in overall bilateral relations and is constantly improving."

VS Chief of General Staff Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic and a delegation of the United States European Command (EUCOM) agreed this was the case during a meeting in Belgrade on Tuesday.

Turkey and the United States have finalized a bilateral agreement to provide a framework for the latter's aircraft to conduct combat air patrol missions in Turkish airspace, amid ongoing tension between Ankara and Moscow over the downing of a Russian warplane last month. 

VS members to take part in exercise in Germany

BELGRADE -- An infantry unit of the 3rd Brigade of the VS Ground Forces will take part in the Joint Determination exercise in Germany.

It will be held from May 9 to June 4, organized by the United States European Command, the Serbian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
