Six arrested as police, protesters clash in Athens

Six people were arrested late Tuesday as Greek police clashed with demonstrators protesting a visit by US President Barack Obama, in central Athens.

Riot police fired tear gas and stun grenades at protesters demonstrating just a few kilometers from the presidential mansion where Greek officials were hosting an official dinner for the American leader.

"Determining full truth regarding murder of Bytyqi brothers"

Minister of Justice Nela Kuburovic spoke on Wednesday with brother of the killed Bytyqi brothers Fatos Bytyqi, the Serbian government has announced.

The meeting was also attended by US Deputy Ambassador to Serbia Kurt Donnelly and Second Secretary of the US Embassy to Serbia John Bowermaster.

University library gets grant from US Ambassadors Fund

BELGRADE - The Svetozar Markovic University Library in Belgrade has received the biggest grant in Europe for 2016 from the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation - 106,000 dollars.

The grant was approved by the US Embassy in the AFCP project for the reconstruction of the historic building of the University library, which celebrated its 90th anniversary this year.

US to Expand Military Presence in Bulgaria, Ambassador Says

US Ambassador to Bulgaria Eric Seth Rubin has said his country deploy an additional number of troops and provide more trainings next year.

Answering to questions during his meeting with members of the American Chamber of Commerce, he has added the move will be part of an overall boost in capabilities deployed to the Black Sea region.

CIA Chief Visits Bosnia for Anti-Terror Talks

CIA chief John Brennan met Bosnian security officials on Friday to discuss security issues in the Balkan country, Dragan Lukac, head of the Federation entity's police directorate, said after the meeting.

Local experts said the visit was also an opportunity for Bosnia's security agencies and institutions to improve quality of their counter-terrorism activities.

Outview Film Festival between April 14 and 24 in Athens

The ‘Outview Film Festival’ celebrates 10 years this year and is making a comeback with world and European film premieres, panel discussions, workshops and specials. With the logo ‘Give me your hand-You are wonderful’, a lyric from one of late David Bowie’s songs, the festival will take place at the ‘Teniothiki’ (Video Library) exhibition area on Iera Odod in Athens between April 14 and 24.
