Russian president Vladimir Putin said that they “have nothing to do with” President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, whose bureau is conducting an investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

U.S. President Donald Trump will host President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan next week at the White House, The Associated Press has reported.

The White House said in a statement on May 10 that Erdoğan will visit on May 16 in what will be the two leaders' first face-to-face meeting since Trump took office in January.

Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) on May 10 slammed the U.S. decision to arm the People's Protection Units (YPG) in Syria, saying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan should "reconsider" his meeting with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump at the White House, scheduled for May 16.
