Turkey's foreign minister on Jan. 22 said the Syrian regime's attacks in the last rebel-held enclave of Idlib are "unacceptable" and called on Russia to abide by a recent ceasefire brokered by Ankara and Moscow as a guarantor state.

A "Turkish House" has been set up at the venue of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland in a bid to promote investment opportunities in Turkey.

It was launched under the guidance of the Treasury and Finance Ministry in coordination with the Banks Association of Turkey.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Tuesday met Nechirvan Barzani, president of Iraq's Kurdish Regional Government (KRG).

Serbian President, who attended the opening of the Forum last night, first participates in the panel "Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans", followed by a working lunch labelled as "Generating Growth for Central and Eastern Europe".

Greta Thunberg, who has inspired a new generation of activists to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos this year, urged world leaders to listen to young people on Jan. 21.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is leaving for Switzerland to participate in the 50th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, said the government press office. This year meeting's theme would be Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.

The world's richest 2,153 people controlled more money than the poorest 4.6 billion combined in 2019, while unpaid or underpaid work by women and girls adds three times more to the global economy each year than the technology industry, Oxfam said on Jan. 20.
