China calls West's economic de-risking 'false proposition'

Chinese Premier Li Qiang slammed efforts in the West to "de-risk" their economies as a "false proposition" yesterday, hitting back against U.S. and EU policy aimed at reducing their reliance on China.

The United States and the European Union have in recent months moved to "de-risk" from the world's second-largest economy.

The message from Davos: Greece is back

This past week Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis traveled to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum.

Aside from a number of key meetings with leading business personalities, Mitsotakis also spoke to Fareed Zakaria in a wide ranging interview that covered Greece's economic transformation, upcoming elections, and tensions with Turkey.

Erdogan says Greek PM’s Davos comments inconsequential

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has slammed comments made by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Davos on Thursday as inconsequential.

"Mitsotakis can say what he wants, but his statements are not enough to change the fate of the region," Erdogan said on Friday. He did not clarify what he meant.

Mitsotakis: ‘We will not go to war with Turkey’

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Thursday during a session at the World Economic Forum gathering in Davos, Switzerland, that "we will not go to war with Turkey."

He said he still believes it's possible to resolve Greece's differences with Turkey by speaking with Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
