Remdesivir - Not Effective for Coronavirus Patients

There were hopes that treatment with remdesivir could treat Covid-19.

The search for a cure for the coronavirus across the ocean continues to debate which drug helps and which doesn't. Remdesivir's first tests show that the drug which is used to treat Ebola infected does not offer treatment for COVID-19. Until now, it was thought that it could help fight the epidemic.

Turkey refutes NYT article on Istanbul COVID-19 deaths

Turkey's health minister on April 22 refuted allegations in a recent New York Times article on the death toll in Istanbul from the novel coronavirus.
Speaking at a news conference following a Coronavirus Science Board meeting, Fahrettin Koca said the newspaper's claim that Turkey is hiding the number of deaths from the coronavirus is "fiction solely based on anti-Turkey bias."

Greek PM wants to expedite lifting of measures

Australia Calls for an International Investigation into the Coronavirus Pandemic

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is trying to secure support for an international investigation into the pandemic of the new coronavirus, Reuters reported.

Morrison discussed the issue over the phone with the presidents of the United States and France, Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, his office reported.
