Heady scents fill the air as skilled pickers in India pluck white jasmine before the still fresh buds are rushed for processing into a valuable ingredient for global perfumes.
Jasmine only issues its powerful scent when it blooms at night, and pickers must select only the ones yet to open.

Turkey's Arçelik files patent lawsuit against LG
Arçelik, a leading white goods producer in Turkey, on Feb. 13 filed a case for patent infringement against South Korean appliances manufacturer LG Electronics and its subsidiaries in France and Germany.

Koç for gender equality and inventions
Koç Holding was the only company from Turkey on the Fortune Global 500 list when it entered the list in 419th place in 2016. I had the opportunity to participate in two meaningful events put on by the company in rapid succession.
Both of these events concerned two topics that Turkey has to focus on the most: one is patents, the other is gender equality.
