Opposition alliance begins discussions for choosing candidate
The six-party Nation Alliance has challenged President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's eligibility to run for the presidency in the upcoming elections on the grounds that the Turkish constitution stipulates that a person can run for the highest seat of the Turkish state only twice.

Gunfire hits Turkish Football Federation, no one hurt
Assailants opened fire on Sept. 1 on the headquarters of the Turkish Football Federation as the board met inside, officials said, adding that no one was injured in the attack.
