An international music festival founded by the father of singer-songwriter Dua Lipa to promote his native Kosovo has led to recriminations for the small European country after it lost the event to neighboring Albania.

Arlind Manxhuka, a representative of the student organisation Study, Critic, Action, which has been protesting against the Orthodox church, told BIRN that its presence on the campus is unacceptable.

"The space where this building is built is an usurpation of the university campus," Manxhuka said.

Unemployed veterans Sefik Muminovic, 55, and Dzemal Zahirovic, 59, arrived in the Sarajevo suburbs early on Tuesday morning after walking 108 kilometres along winding mountain roads from the northern industrial town of Zivinice.  

Ugljanin declares victory in minority councils elections

He made the statement after repeat elections on Sunday in the municipality of Tutin, southwestern Serbia.
