Erdoğan vows to prepare Istanbul for earthquakes

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is determined to strengthen the building stock of Istanbul before a major earthquake hits Türkiye's largest city, President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, vowing to resolve Istanbul's traffic problem if their candidate, Murat Kurum wins the mayoral polls on March 31.

Former ministers elected as parliamentary commission heads

Following a voting session in the Turkish parliament, the heads of specialized commissions have been determined, with former ministers taking leadership positions in commissions relevant to their respective fields.

During the general assembly meetings, the commissions convened to select the members of the Presidential Council.

High speed railway launched between Ankara, Sivas

A new high-speed train service has been launched between the capital Ankara and the Central Anatolian province of Sivas.

The train will depart from Ankara's high-speed train station and pass through the nearby provinces of Kırıkkale and Yozgat before it reaches Sivas, Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu informed at the new line's inauguration ceremony.

More than 138,000 cyber attacks prevented in 2022

More than 138,000 cyber attacks were prevented in 2022, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has announced.

In his written statement on cyber security studies, a total of 138,445 cyber attacks were prevented last year, while in the last six-year period, the number of blocked cyber attacks reached 664,263.
