The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is determined to strengthen the building stock of Istanbul before a major earthquake hits Türkiye's largest city, President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, vowing to resolve Istanbul's traffic problem if their candidate, Murat Kurum wins the mayoral polls on March 31.

The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has finalized its nominations for mayoral candidates across İzmir province, including both the metropolitan municipality and its districts, in preparation for the upcoming elections.

In his written statement on cyber security studies, a total of 138,445 cyber attacks were prevented last year, while in the last six-year period, the number of blocked cyber attacks reached 664,263.
