Greece committed to further strengthening ties with China, says Georgiadis

In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, the Greek government continues with unfaltering commitment to enhance cooperation with China, Greece's Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis said on Thursday.

"We continue even faster and stronger than before to make our ties stronger," the minister said while addressing an online investment forum.

Government signs 57.5-million-euro deal for Alimos marina

The 57.5-million-euro concession agreement to use and exploit the marina of Alimos, in southern Athens, for a duration of 40 years was signed on Wednesday with Aktor Concessions.

The value of the agreement amounts to at least 177 million euros, including an up-front fee, an annual concession fee and a revenue-sharing expressed as a percentage of the marina's annual turnover.

New fund to boost cash flow

The creation of the Guarantee Fund, which will be activated by the Development Ministry in early May to oversee the supply of state-guaranteed working capital of over 7 billion euros up until the end of 2020, marks the start of the economic recovery, through the direct injection of cash into medium-to-large and large businesses.

Extended supermarket opening hours to continue till May 9

The extended opening hours for supermarkets will continue beyond April 25, following a decision by Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Thursday.
Large food stores, including supermarkets, will continue to open from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until May 9 at least, as has been the case since March 26.
