Prince Albert II of Monaco will be visiting the island of Elafonissos on May 29, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported on Monday.

The prince's visit to the island, located off the southern tip of the Peloponnese, is taking place in the context of the 6th Edition of the Eco-Sustainable Symposium during the Elafonissos EcoWeek-Green Challenge 2023 (May 29 - June 4).

Prince Albert II of Monaco gave him a ceremonial reception in front of the Prince's Palace of Monaco. Along with the lined up Guard and the anthems of the two countries, Prince Albert warmly welcomed President Vui, and because of this visit, the flag of Serbia was put up at the Prince's Palace along with the flag of Monaco.

Glasgow – Prime Minister Janez Janša took part in Glasgow on Tuesday in the launch of an initiative to reduce methane emissions by 30% by 2030, proposed by the US and EU, the prime minister’s office said, noting that Slovenia was among the supporters of the initiative.

Prince Philip “of Greece”, aged 93, smirked as he watched the flotilla of more than 180 yachts process along the Solent at the fleet review at Crowne. Accompanying him was his daughter Princess Anne, 64 and Albert II of Monaco, 57. Other royals present were Crown Prince Pavlos “of Greece”, aged 48, and his wife Marie-Chantal, aged 46.

Enver Yücel, the chairman of the board of trustees at Istanbul's Bahçeşehir University, will receive a United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA) Contribution to Global Education award at a Dec. 16 ceremony in New York.
