BELGRADE -- Serbia has made great progress in harmonizing energy sector regulations with EU standards, Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic and EC officials have concluded.
A project aimed at ensuring a gas connection between Serbia and Bulgaria should be fully formulated by the end of August, they announced on Friday.

New law on energy is in line with EU legislation
BELGRADE - The energy bill the parliament will discuss on Friday should bring Serbia's regulations in that field in line with EU legislation.
The new bill is proposed in order to harmonise Serbian legislation with that of the EU in a comprehensive and efficient way and solve problems noticed in practice, according to the argumentation for the bill.

Gov't adopts guidelines for Srbijagas restructuring
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted the guidelines for restructuring Serbia's state-owned gas provider Srbijagas at a meeting Thursday, the Ministry of Energy and Mining said in a release.
This is an important first step in making Srbijagas a market-oriented, profitable company, the ministry said.
