Başakşehir knocked out of Champions League

Turkish football club Medipol Başakşehir have been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League over Dec. 2's 4-3 loss against Germany's RB Leipzig in Istanbul.

Başakşehir lost at home but fought well, scoring 3 goals.

Istanbul club's Turkish midfielder Irfan Can Kahveci was on fire as the 25-year-old netted three goals to keep Başakşehir's hopes alive.

Trabzonspor beats Fenerbahçe, reaches Turkish Cup final

Trabzonspor beats Fenerbahçe 3-1 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup semifinal match on June 16 to advance to final. 

Trabzonspor secured the 5-2 aggregate victory, having won the first leg 2-1 at home in March.

The visitors took the lead in the sixth minute at Ülker Stadium, when Norwegian star Alexander Sorloth scored the opener.

Fenerbahçe topples Kayserispor, Trabzonspor beats Göztepe

The Süper Lig leaders Trabzonspor won against Göztepe and Fenerbahçe won against Kayserispor as the Turkish top-flight football league began with coronavirus measures on June 12. 

Visitors Trabzonspor took the lead as Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme scored by header in the 16th minute, 1-0. He was unmarked in the penalty area.

Trabzonspor beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 on March 3 in the first leg game of the Ziraat Turkish Cup semifinals to gain a slight advantage at home.

In the match on Trabzonspor's home ground, Şenol Güneş Stadium, Alexander Sorloth scored the host's opening goal in the 46th minute, followed by Filip Novak scoring their second goal in the 66th minute.

Trabzonspor still in title hunt after 2-2 Beşiktaş draw

At Vodafone Arena, Trabzonspor's Alexander Sorloth scored the opening goal in the fifth minute. Beşiktaş responded when German forward Kevin-Prince Boateng but the ball in the net in the 57th minute.

Beşiktaş lift their morale with away victory

Beşiktaş defeated Caykur Rizespor 2-1 in Sergen Yalçın's first match at the helm on Feb. 1.

At Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium, Beşiktaş found the first goal with a Burak Yılmaz's close-range shot in the 29th minute.

In the 36th minute, the home team netted the equalizer when Czech forward Milan Skoda's header beat Beşiktaş goalkeeper Loris Karius.
