Multiple buyers are interested in buying a stake in Türk Telekom, Garanti Bank chief executive Ali Fuat Erbil said on Feb. 16 after Oger Telecom failed to make three payments on a $4.75 billion loan it secured to acquire 55 percent stake in the Turkish fixed-line operator.

The IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, has said it is investing $150 million equivalent of Turkish Liras in covered bonds issued by Turkey's Garanti Bank, in a bid to help boost the development of green buildings in the country's housing sector.
