Parliament ratifies Council Decision amending EURATOM Treaty

The joint Parliament plenum adopted today by a vote of 378 to 2 and three abstentions the bill on the ratification of the Council Decision amending the EURATOM Treaty. The scope of the bill is the ratification of Council Decision (EU, EURATOM) 2020/2053 of 14 December 2020 on the system of own resources of the European Union and repealing Decision 2014/335/EU, Euratom, adopted in Brussels.

The Parliament plenum rejected on Tuesday the Romanian Television Broadcasting Corporation's activity reports for 2017, 2018 and 2019. The 2019 activity report fell by a vote of 239 to 142, the 2018 report had 144 votes in favor, 242 against and one abstention, and the 2017 report 141 votes in favor, 247 against and two abstentions.

As many as 1,083 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, with 11,600 tests being carried out, the Strategic Communication Group reported on Sunday.
