Five nightclubs in Attica were ordered to close over the weekend after raids on Friday night conducted by units of the Hellenic Police and the Development Ministry's General Secretariat for Trade and Consumer Protection established that the businesses had violated hygiene protocols aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus, notably by permitting excessive overcrowding.

The mayors of Glyfada and Alimos, Giorgos Papanikolaou and Andreas Kondylis, on Friday lodged a joint legal suit over the marine pollution wreaked by an oil leak from a tanker that sunk last weekend off Salamina.

Alternate Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Mouzalas met with mayors of districts in southeast Athens to discuss the refugee and migrant center at the old Greek Air Force facilities and Hellenikon Airport.
