Iohannis: Black Sea security state, worrying; Romania supports Moldova, Ukraine's sovereignty, integrity

In conversations in Chisinau, Moldova, on Friday with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski, Romania's President Klaus Iohannis said that the state of security in the Black Sea continues to be concerning, reiterating Romania's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova and Ukraine.

Romania is reaffirming its strong and broad commitment to supporting the reform and European integration undertaken by Moldova, Romania's President Klaus Iohannis said on Friday. President Klaus Iohannis participated on Friday in the military ceremony organized in Chisinau's Great National Assembly Square in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Moldova's declaration of independence. Polish and Ukrainian Presidents Andrzej Duda and Volodymyr Zelenski also attended the event alongside Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

Poland becomes first NATO country to buy Turkish drones

Poland will purchase Turkish armed drones, becoming the first NATO and EU member state to buy the hardware from Ankara, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on May 24.    

The deal will be a boost for the Turkish defense sector, which Erdoğan has said should meet the country's own military hardware requirements and export to allies abroad.
