Privatisation agency chief to step down

The chairman of Greece's privatisation agency will step down later this week after his three-year term came to an end last month, the agency said on Monday.

Aris Xenofos, who took on the job in 2017, has overseen a number of major privatisations, including extending a concession for the operation of Greece's largest airport, Athens International Airport.

Government signs 57.5-million-euro deal for Alimos marina

The 57.5-million-euro concession agreement to use and exploit the marina of Alimos, in southern Athens, for a duration of 40 years was signed on Wednesday with Aktor Concessions.

The value of the agreement amounts to at least 177 million euros, including an up-front fee, an annual concession fee and a revenue-sharing expressed as a percentage of the marina's annual turnover.

TAIPED heralds new privatization projects

Greece to shortlist investors for its biggest airport next month

Greece will shortlist investors for a minority stake in Athens International Airport (AIA) next month, the head of the country's privatization agency said on Thursday.

Greece holds a 55 percent stake in the airport and 10 investment schemes submitted expressions of interest for the 30 percent stake on sale in October.

Northern Greek ports to be put up for utilization by end of year

Aris Xenofos, the chairman of state sell-off fund TAIPED, stated on Tuesday that the process for the utilization of four regional ports that rely on the Egnatia Odos highway could start before the end of the year. Also on Tuesday the government belatedly launched the process for the utilization of a total of 10 regional ports, including the four mentioned by Xenofos.

Tender for Athens Airport stake set for early 2019

Greece's privatization agency will proceed with a tender to sell a 30 percent stake in Athens International Airport (AIA) early next year, its head said on Wednesday.

The TAIPED privatization agency holds a 30 percent stake in the airport, with the government owning another 25 percent.

The rest is held by German-based airport manager AviAlliance and Greek group Copelouzos.

Greece's third bailout ends in August and it has agreed with its international lenders to raise 3 billion euros by 2019 from state asset sales.
