Think Playboy, think super-slim models sporting bunny tails and rabbit ears (or less). Well, think again. Because after featuring its very first transgender model on the cover, the men’s lifestyle magazine is breaking with tradition once again to feature a stunning plus-size model.

Supermodel Ashley Graham is baring it all in Love magazine’s upcoming issue. Since appearing on the cover of the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated in 2016, the 29-year-old has taken over multiple fashion magazine covers. A big step for Graham and a huge step for curvy women everywhere.

First came the obsession with thigh gaps, then there was the bikini bridge, ab cracks, and thighbrows. The latest body trend to emerge is “rib-cage bragging,” which sees women flaunting their protruding chest bones on social media.

Waif-like bodies are becoming passe. The ancient Greek and Rubenesque ideal of beauty is slowly coming back as women with bountiful figures are blitzkrieging through the fashion world with shoots in Sports Illustrated, Pirella calendar and the like.

February’s Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue will be released on the 9th of this month. For the first time, the pages of the Sports Illustrated mag will include a “plus size” (normal person size) model in its pages.

This is 27 year old Ashley Graham who is the first model of this kind to grace the famous magazine.
