Agreement to build new Leoni plant signed in Nis
NIS - An agreement to build a new plant of German auto parts maker Leoni was signed in Nis Tuesday at a ceremony attended by PM Aleksandar Vucic.
The 22 mln euro deal, which will create 2,200 jobs, was signed by Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and Leoni Director Clemens Sachs.

Gojkovic: Relations between Serbia, Germany better than ever
BELGRADE - President of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojkovic says the relations between Germany and Serbia are better than ever, stressing that Serbia is grateful for Germany's support on its way to the EU and for what the country is doing to enable the opening of negotiation chapters when Serbia is ready.
Nikolic, Dittmann highlight importance of regional stability
BELGRADE - President Tomislav Nikolic and German Ambassador Axel Dittmann on Wednesday highlighted the significance of regional stability, and Dittmann noted that open bilateral issues in the region must be solved through dialogue.

Dittmann: Open chapters with Serbia as soon as possible
NOVI SAD - Germany supports a soonest possible opening of chapters 23 and 24 in Serbia's EU accession talks - ideally, it should happen in the first half of this year, German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann told Tanjug in Novi Sad on Wednesday.

German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann said in Indjija on Wednesday that Berlin supported Serbia along the reform path.
Germany also pushed for the opening of Chapters 23 and 24 in the first half of the year, he said, while according to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, "Serbia is on the right track."

"NATO, Kosovo recognition not conditions for joining EU"
German Ambassador Axel Dittmann says his country will support opening chapters 23 and 24, on judiciary and the rule of law, in the first half of this year.
In an interview for Vecernje Novosti, Dittman said that NATO membership was not a prerequisite for joining the EU, and the same went for recognition of Kosovo's independence.
Germany not asking Serbia to recognize Kosovo - ambassador
German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann has reiterated that his country was "not asking Serbia to recognize Kosovo."
He at the same time stressed the importance of "a more comprehensive normalization of relations" between Belgrade and Pristina.
