There are no new conditions for the continuation of Serbia's EU integration nor demands to recognize Kosovo, says German Ambassador Axel Dittmann.

In addition, he stressed that Germany "supports the opening of chapters 35 and 32 in Serbia's EU membership talks next year."

 

'No New EU Conditions for Serbia over Kosovo'

The German Ambassador to Belgrade Axel Dittmann has denied claims that new conditions have been imposed on Serbia over relations with Kosovo and the EU accession process.

Senior Serbian officials have claimed that Germany introduced new demands, including the abolition of municipal structures in Kosovo, which they describe as unacceptable to Belgrade.

The Serbian first deputy prime minister and foreign minister made the statement on Friday during a meeting with Germany's newly-appointed Ambassador to Belgrade Axel Dittmann, Tanjug is reporting.
