Quake team established in risky city
An earthquake team has been established at the juncture where the Eastern Anatolian Fault Line intersects with the North Anatolian Fault Line in Tunceli, an eastern province.
New measures were taken in Tunceli, where scientists constantly warn of earthquakes, and in this context, container cities were built against earthquakes.

Motorcycles take over passenger cars in sales
With demand rising fast, motorcycle sales in Türkiye surpassed that of passenger cars in the first 10 months of 2023.
From January to October, a total of 813,520 motorcycles were sold in the country, pointing to a staggering 148 percent year-on-year increase, while passenger car sales amounted to 749,501 units.

Senior ISIL member arrested in Istanbul
Istanbul police have apprehended a high-ranking member of ISIL during an operation that resulted in the detention of eight other individuals.
The suspect, identified as Jamal Ismael Ahmad Almad, had been under the surveillance of intelligence and terror units for some time before the operation.

Tornado hits tents in quake-hit Pazarcık, 1 dead
Due to the storm and the subsequent tornado in the quake-hit Kahramanmaraş's Pazarcık district, one person lost their life and 50 others were injured.
The tornado dislodged the tents and containers where quake survivors were staying, and the roofs of some buildings also fell on the tents.

Tornado passed through Turkey - Killed a Person and took away Tents of Victims of the Earthquakes
One person died and 50 were injured in a tornado that broke out in the city of Pazarcik (Kahramanmaras province, Southeastern Turkey), Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Twitter, quoted by BTA.
Pazarcik was also the epicenter of the first destructive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 on February 6 in Turkey.
More containers to arrive, 2.6 mln people in tent cities: Soylu
More than 2.6 million quake survivors are staying in tents, and the number of containers will exceed 100,000 within a month, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has stated.
Minister Soylu had iftar with quake victims in the tent city in Pazarcık district, the epicenter of the first earthquake that struck on Feb. 6.
