Boots, Banksy, piano: Elton John puts items up for auction
Music icon Elton John has put a variety of personal items up for auction at Christie's in New York, including monogrammed silver leather platform boots, a grand piano and a triptych by street artist Banksy.
Most of the items come from John's former home in Atlanta, a condo on Peachtree Road that was recently sold, the auction house said on Jan. 11.

Half-shredded Banksy fetches $25.4 mln on return
A Banksy picture which was half sliced by a shredder concealed in its frame when it was sold at auction fetched $25.4 million when it went back under the hammer in the same room in London on Oct. 14.
Onlookers gasped when the then-titled "Girl with Balloon" was sucked into a shredder as the hammer fell following a bid of $1.4 million at an October 2018 auction at Sotheby's in London.

Half-shredded Banksy could fetch over $5 mln at auction
A Banksy artwork that sensationally self-shredded just after it sold for $1.4 million is up for sale again at several times the previous price.

Auctioneer Sotheby's said that "Love is in the Bin"' be offered at a sale in London on Oct. 14. The piece has a pre-sale estimate of 4 million pounds to 6 million pounds ($5.5 million to $8.3 million).

Banksy Never Tires to Surprise – New Painting Will Raise Millions for UK National Health Service
A painting by UK street artist Banksy is expected to raise millions of pounds for the staff of Britain's state-run National Health Service (NHS) at auction on Tuesday.
The painting by the elusive artist, titled "Game Changer", first appeared at Southampton General Hospital on England's south coast, during the first wave of the global health crisis last May.
Banksy takes credit for work at Oscar Wilde jail
Street artist Banksy on March 4 claimed responsibility for a painting on the wall of a former British prison that once held playwright Oscar Wilde.
The artwork shows a prisoner escaping on a rope made of bedsheets tied to a typewriter.
The elusive artist confirmed he was responsible in a video posted on his Instagram account.
