Thousands of Israelis took to the streets in a mass demonstration last night, demanding new elections and urging the government to take decisive action to secure the release of hostages held in Gaza.

Biden, speaking at a reception in the White House on the occasion of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, recalled his decades-long friendship with Netanyahu, Reuters reported.

Biden calls for 'pause' in Hamas-Israel fighting
President Joe Biden, when responding to a heckler at a Minnesota campaign event Wednesday night, said he thinks there should be a humanitarian "pause" in the Israeli-Hamas war to get "prisoners" out of Gaza.
