Bursa to host fourth Nomad Games

The fourth World Nomad Games will be held near Lake İznik in the northwestern province of Bursa between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, with around 3,000 athletes from 40 countries competing across 13 disciplines.

The organization, dedicated to ethnic sports practiced in Central Asia, include wrestling, hunting with eagles and equestrian events.

Turkish first lady, foreign minister visit Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, distribute aid

First lady Emine Erdoğan and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh alongside a Turkish delegation on Sept. 7. 

"It's impossible not to be effected [by the situation] as a human. May God help them," Erdoğan said after visiting the Kutupalong Camp, housing Rohingya Muslims who have fled from violence in Myanmar since Aug. 25.

President Erdoğan's relative forms platform against possible coup attempts

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son Bilal Erdoğan's father-in-law, Orhan Uzuner, has formed a platform to prevent a "possible coup attempt." 

The platform, "Kardeş Kal Türkiye" (Let's stay as brothers, Turkey), aims to bring people out on the streets in the event of a possible coup bid, according to Uzuner.

Indictment seeks up to two years in jail for CHP head Kılıçdaroğlu

An indictment prepared by a local chief public prosecutor's office in Istanbul has demanded up to two years in prison for main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on charges of "overtly insulting" President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son in remarks made two years ago.
