Rural women’s touch in archaeology
The number of archaeological excavations in the western province of Muğla, which is home to important ruins besides offering sea, sand and sun tourism, increased from 23 last year to 30 this year. Mythological masks unearthed in ancient theater of Strakonikeia
Archaeological excavations carried out in the 3,000-year-old ancient city of Strakonikeia, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List, have revealed 10 more masks adorning the stone blocks that are believed to date back 2,200 years.
