Republican-era house in ancient city to serve tourism in west Turkey
A building completed during the Turkish republican era, located in the 2,300-year-old ancient city of Stratonikeia in the western province of Muğla and included on the UNESCO Tentative List, will be restored and used for touristic purposes.

Archaeologists have discovered a total of 65 tombs belonging to the Byzantine Era in the ancient city of Stratonicea (Caria) during excavations last year.

Some 65 Byzantine-era tombs have been unearthed in the most recent archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Stratonikeia, known as the city of gladiators in the western province of Muğla's Yatağan district.
