Netflix soars to 230 mln subscribers, co-founder steps down
U.S. streaming giant Netflix ended last year with more than 230 million global subscribers, it said on Jan. 19, beating analysts' expectations as hits such as "Wednesday" and "Harry & Meghan" enticed new viewers.
"2022 was a tough year, with a bumpy start but a brighter finish," the company said in a letter announcing bumper fourth quarter earnings.

Christie's has announced plans to auction the art collection of late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, which it estimated to be worth more than $1 billion.
The November sale of more than 150 pieces spanning 500 years of art will be "the largest and most exceptional art auction in history," Christie's said in a statement.

Jennifer Gates, daughter of Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the World, has chosen the Aegean tourism destination Bodrum for vacation, daily Milliyet has reported.
Jennifer Gates' visit came to light when her father's 107-meter long super yacht "Lana" anchored off Bodrum.
"Just after the yacht anchored, Jennifer Gates came with a tender," the daily wrote on July 4.
