As a result, the bulk of the past two years has seen caretaker governments appointed by the President, Rumen Radev. This has led to a curious situation in which an increasingly disaffected population engages in a serial "celebration of democracy" but is governed by unelected governments tailored by a more and more Bonapartist-acting president.

"I read an interesting comment by a political scientist. He said this - 'President Radev has a complex towards the people who created him'. There is probably something like that - a male complex towards the woman who made him president."

This was commented on bTV by the chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), Kornelia Ninova.

"We can't find 121 MPs who are not afraid", Petkov told the media, referring to the number needed for a majority in parliament, and the influence that criminal structures allegedly have on parliament.

Offensive and vulgar chants against the European Union and Bulgaria were heard last night during the second protest in front of the Macedonian government building against the French proposal to start negotiations for the Republic of North Macedonia for EU membership.

He got into a verbal dispute with the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of "There Is Such a People" Toshko Yordanov.

The National Assembly ratified in two readings the Agreement on Economic Review, which makes our country an official member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), BNR reported.

During the debates, the ruling party and the opposition got into a dispute over the merits of our country's entry into the so-called "Club of the Rich".

President Rumen Radev described the prime minister's visit to Skopje as hasty. Kiril Petkov did not agree with Radev's assessment.

Commenting on the dismissal of the director of Bulgargaz, the president noted that he was worried about inflation - how Bulgarians are coping with rising prices and high bills, as well as the future of energy.
