Across the multiple levels of governance in the country, many politicians are in their late twenties, thirties and forties. In other words, there has been a generational change among politicians. Bosnian Serb lawmakers have thrown out a parliamentary committee report casting doubt on the official explanation for the 'accidental' death in March of a 21-year-old man who protesters say was murdered.
Bosnian Serbs Adopt Resolution on Military Neutrality
The National Assembly of Republika Srpska has adopted a resolution proclaiming the entity's military neutrality at a session that opposition and ethnic minority MPs boycotted.
The resolution proclaims the neutrality of the Republika Srpska entity in relation to military alliances, and says the RS is committed to coordinating its future status with Serbia.
Bosnian Serb Opposition MPs Block Assembly's Work
For the second day in a row, over 30 opposition members of parliament in Republika Srpska, the Serb-dominated entity of Bosnia, took up seats behind the table of the speaker, preventing the session from being held until their demands were met.
Negotiations that lasted from Tuesday evening to Wednesday to noon ended without result.

Bosnian Serb Assembly to Debate 'Net Censorship' Law
The Republika Srpska National Assembly on Tuesday was set to go ahead with a debate on changes to the law on peace and order after its Committee for European Integration and Regional Cooperation on Monday rejected calls for the law to be withdrawn from the agenda.

Bosnian Serbs Seek Russian Loan to Replace IMF
Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zoran Tegeltija on April 2 said the entity was still negotiating the terms of a Russian loan, which will hopefully supplant the need to go cap in hand to the IMF.
“The negotiations are being led, but not all conditions of the credit or the deadlines have been defined,” Tegeltija said.
